Ciao, I’m Arianna

I grew up in Celle Ligure in Liguria, on the coast of Northern Italy. Situated between Tuscany and the French border, Celle Ligure is known for its incredible food, blending Italian and French traditions. How I miss the pesto and focaccia! My parents were gelato makers, and it was such good gelato that they fed it to me in my milk bottle! When I was older, I learned the art of making fresh pasta and traditional cakes with my nonna. The Italian way to cook is with passion and love. Actually, it is like a love story, with a beginning, middle and end. It starts with selecting the best ingredients - always very simple, but local, fresh and bursting with flavour. Then we create something delicious from our simple ingredients, cooking with full presence, delight and joy. Finally, we come together to share our creations with the people we love, talking together, eating and laughing. This is why, in Italy, the kitchen is the most important room in the house! 

When I moved to Australia in 2014 with my husband Andrea, we came from gorgeous Rapallo, which is on the coast just next door to famous Portofino. We are coastal people, so we settled by the ocean in Perth’s pretty Quinns Rocks, where we have built a lovely life with our daughter Adaline, our two dogs (one came with us all the way from Italy!), our chickens and our bees in the back garden. I left behind a very successful tennis coaching business in Italy, and with the move, I took the opportunity to put tennis to the side so that I could pursue my first love - making decadent cakes and desserts! 

Cooking and baking is a joy that connects me to my Italian heritage, but sharing my cakes and desserts with you is a double joy! I love baking traditional Italian and French cakes such as my signature Sbriciolona alla Nutella, Caramelised Orange and Almond Cake, Glamorous Lemon Meringue Tart -  and my husband says you simply must try my To-Die-For Brownies. I also enjoy creating completely new desserts for my clients. From elegant tiered wedding cakes, to colourful birthday cupcakes for children, and even a Covid themed cake for a nurse (complete with a mask!), anything is possible!

I believe that food should look beautiful, taste delicious, and should be made with love. My custom cakes are a little slice of luxury for your special occasion. Glamorous, fabulous, delizioso!
